Mindful Eating Tracker

Oct 11, 2019

Description

Mindful Eating Tracker is a part of TracknShare apps. Australia’s App Store rated it 5 stars, although it only merits 2.7 stars in the U.S. Available to download for $2.99, the app attempts to make users more aware, or mindful, of what they’re eating. It’s suggested to be useful for those attempting to lose weight.

Overview

Mindful Eating Tracker follows the design platform of other TracknShare apps. The app pushes you to consume the “right” foods. If losing weight is your goal, the app could help, but targets no specific results. You graph your progress using visual aids that display your progress or regression over time.

“To see progress on how aware you become using Mindful Eating Tracker, you need to graph your actions on charts and log them in your calendar.”

Consuming “Right” Foods

According to the standards of Mindful Eating Tracker, eating healthy when you’re hungry isn’t enough to see results. Creators believe certain hungers should be nourished with certain types of food. How to differentiate this is unclear, for the app mentions nothing of a guide to reference when deciding what to eat.

“May” Lose Weight

While eating healthy is widely a goal of people trying to lose weight, Mindful Eating Tracker makes no guarantees. Their goal is not to necessarily make users lose weight, but to raise awareness towards eating the right foods. Prospective users with a weight loss goal may want to seek elsewhere for a suitable, slimming application.

Charts and Calendar

To see progress on how aware you become using Mindful Eating Tracker, you need to graph your actions on charts and log them in your calendar. This allows you to compare trends over time. However, a disappointed customer claimed the app’s graphs and requirements were too complicated, suggesting that the platform may not be user-friendly to everyone.
