MyFitnessPal is an overall health tracking app that may assist with weight loss and has won various awards. The app can connect to 50+ apps and devices. It is free to download, but costs $9.99 per month and $49.99 per year when upgrading to MyFitnessPal premium.

 

Overview

MyFitnessPal provides many tools and references to assist in weight loss goals. Users can track which foods to eat with 9 features including a calorie counter and restaurant logger. Users can input exercises and choose from hundreds of provided workouts. You can even share your progress through MyFitnessPal’s community features.

Track Your Foods

The MyFitnessPal app can help users track and log healthy foods and decide on nutritious meals. The food database offers over 6 million meals to choose from. They even make eating out easier by allowing users to input restaurants to learn which foods off their menus fit into their weight loss goals. The only drawback is that there may be too many features, making it hard for users to decipher which are the most valuable for them.

 

Input Exercises

You are able to browse through MyFitnessPal’s 350+ exercises to find the ones that best suit your schedule, abilities, and goals. You can also sync 50+ apps and devices with the app, eliminating the hassle from trying to log the calories burned or steps taken from outside resources. If cardio, strength, or both are your targets, MyFitnessPal has the capability to track them.

 

Community Features

If any users find that pushing towards their weight loss goals is too difficult on their own, they can use the app’s community features to receive outside support. Adding your friends into MyFitnessPal to view your progress can increase accountability and motivation.
