Overview
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) is a specialty organization for patients and health professionals of weight loss surgery. It is the largest national organization dedicated to their specialty. The organization has members and committees. Through its membership, professional development, and resources the ASMBS helps advance the science of metabolic and bariatric surgery.
Membership
Being a member of the ASMBS offers many perks, including discounted registration for the ASBMS Annual Meeting at ObesityWeek, Spring Event, and post-graduate Certificate in Education courses. Members are expected to pay membership fees. Detailed information on the application process can be found on the ASBMS website.
